Have you noticed all the fire department rescue trucks parked near the Clear Creek Trail in Golden the last month or so? This photo was taken June 12, 2018, and the shiny red truck parked next to the trail had Castle Rock Fire Department markings. The truck was unoccupied with its windows wide open, and the Castle Rock rescuers were nearby floating in the creek together. No rescue was underway. If you click on the photo to enlarge it, you can see this year’s crop of Golden Park Rangers patrolling at the right, as is often their custom, in a pack of four. Moments before, the rangers walked past the parked fire department truck without contacting the firemen or issuing a warning or ticket.
